Musical Director

Sarah Churcher

Our Musical Director

Sarah trained at Bird College in London, where she developed her skills as a performer before embarking on a successful career in law. In 2018, she made a significant change of direction, returning to her performing arts roots and rediscovering her passion for music, performance and education.

Today, Sarah works as a vocal coach and performing arts teacher, supporting both private individuals and schools to develop confidence, creativity and vocal technique. She is passionate about helping people of all ages and abilities discover the power of their own voice and the joy that singing can bring.

Sarah firmly believes that everyone has a voice and that singing is for the masses. Beyond the musical benefits, singing in a group fosters connection, friendship and a sense of belonging. It promotes wellbeing, builds confidence and creates a shared experience that brings people together through the universal language of music. Whether someone is an experienced singer or joining a choir for the very first time, Sarah is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where every member can thrive.

Sarah is delighted to be leading Grassington Singers as Musical Director and looks forward to inspiring and celebrating the unique contribution each singer brings to the choir.
